Bussia Vigna Dei Fantini
The grapes for this Barolo come from the highest part of the vineyard, where the vines range in age from 15 to 25 years. Before harvesting by hand, pruning of the grapevines takes place in the summer, reducing the weight of grapes to 1.2 kg per vine, thus achieving an optimal balance during the ripening phases in autumn.
After 11 weeks of maceration, the wine is racked in regenerated barriques. This maturation phase lasts 24 months, with weekly batonnages until late spring. During the springtime of the third year, the wine is racked into stainless steel tanks to facilitate its natural sedimentation. The Barolo finally concludes its evolution with one year of bottle ageing.
