The Monte Piano stands out with its ruby red color. Aromas of plums, blueberries, and cherries bewitch the nose. On the palate, this particular Sangiovese stands out because of its velvety, elegant and also complex character.
Monte Piano
For the Monte Piano, Dario Pasqui meticulously selects only the Sangiovese grapes that have reached their full potential to create this single varietal wine. After the harvest takes place every year in September, a long maceration process follows with a traditional skin contact at a controlled temperature in a steel tank. The wine matures then for about 24 months in French oak barriques and in tonnox and concludes its evolution in the bottle for 12 months. The result is a velvety, elegant and complex wine.
