Re del Sole is characterized by its garnet red color. Notes of cinnamon merge with aromas of tobacco, and accents of ripe fruit rise to the nose. The wine showcases its complexity on the palate, with an intense tannic structure. Rich in spice, one also tastes an aromatic black cherry bouquet, with balsamic notes and hints of chocolate and cocoa.

Re del Sole LS016

The harvest for Re del Sole consists of a double selection of the Sagrantino grapes. The first-hand harvest occurs between September and October and the second two weeks later. The grapes that are handpicked at a later date register a much higher and more concentrated sugar content, which gives the wine a certain complexity. The vinification process solely takes place in a stainless-steel tank at controlled temperatures for two weeks. After that, the wine is racked into two different barrels for two years. Lastly, the wine concludes its evolution with a one-year bottle aging. Depending on the vintage, between 1,000 and 5,000 bottles are produced annually.
