Piedmont - is known for being an enchanting region in the northwest of Italy.

"Ad pedem montium" means "at the foot of the mountains" in reference to the Alps. In terms of natural geography, we include the southern Alpine region, the Po Valley, the hilly landscape in the southeast, and also - today under autonomous status - the Valle d'Aosta.

As a region, Piedmont is known for its many UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato viticultural areas. With its fertile soils, it, therefore, offers excellent conditions for wine growing.

At a proud 480 meters above sea level is the municipality of Monforte D'Alba. There you can find the winery of Silvano Bolmida. The Bolmida family has held the title of a sustainable agriculture for 7 years and is a proud member of the organization "Suolo e Salute".

The cultivation of about 7.4 hectares of land is subject to the objective of producing organically grown wines in strict compliance with high-quality standards.

The longevity of the characteristic Bolmida wines is achieved through a careful green harvest, a long cryomaceration of the grapes and an extensive fermentation and resting period. These unique wines are created thanks to the thorough and meticulous routine of Silvano Bolmida.

Silvano truly believes in preserving the natural conditions of the land. That's why he chooses to use only plant extracts, citrus essential oils, and seaweed instead of adding harsh chemicals for pest control.

Anyone planning a trip to Piedmont should also make a detour to the Bolmida winery. During a wine tasting, everyone can expand their knowledge regarding wine culture.  Silvano's winery was recently renovated and forms a modern puzzle piece in a landscape full of vines.
